Science fiction lovers can meet the seventh Doctor Who and a Star Wars legend at a sci-fi spectacular this summer.
Work has already started on securing top names and attractions for the Sci-Fi by the Sea 3 event – organised by the Bay Promo Team – after 8,000 people attended last year’s successful event.
Former timelord Sylvester McCoy, who has recently starred in The Hobbit, will be attending alongside Sophie Aldred, who played his companion in Dr Who in 1988.
Also making an appearance will be Jeremy Bulloch, who played the part of Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back Star Wars film.
Team spokesman Gerald McCarthy said: “Sylvester is a fantastic guest to add to the day and he’s looking forward to meeting all his fans, as is Jeremy.
“Since the re-release of Star Wars in 1997, the phenomenal interest in the character of Boba Fett has continued to grow and grow.
“Jeremy is invited to sci-fi conventions and events all around the world, which is why it’s so cool to have him on board for Sci-Fi by the Sea this year.”
The event will take place on Sunday, June 21, at Herne Bay Junior School.
Tickets cost £7 for adults, £5 for children, and a family ticket for two adults and two children costs £20. Tickets are available from local shops, or online: www.baypromoteam.ticketsource.co.uk
