Herne Bay: Police warning after purses stolen from Iceland in Mortimer Street

Shoppers have been warned to be vigilant after two purses were stolen from a supermarket in Herne Bay.
Police received reports of the thefts at the weekend after two women had their purses taken from the Iceland store in Mortimer Street.
The thefts happened between midday and 1pm on Saturday.
The first woman, who was in her 60s, noticed her purse had been stolen from her handbag when she went to pay for her shopping.
The second woman - who was in her 30s - had her purse stolen from her pocket as she walked through the store.
