SIX men have been arrested in connection with a multi-million pound drugs find on the beach at Herne Bay.
Customs and Excise officers seized 35kg of a class A drug after a co-ordinated operation involving Thames Coastguard and Essex Police Marine Unit.
The target vessel was located by a Coastguard spotter and another aeronautical agency and was kept under visual and electronic surveillance until the pursuing Essex Police launch came alongside to arrest the crew.
The crew and craft were taken into Ramsgate Harbour where they were met by police and customs officers. The drugs were estimated to be worth £4 million.
