Fashion guru Cora Delaney's tattoo of Herne Bay

A jet-setting Londoner has made sure she never forgets her roots – by getting a tattoo of Herne Bay on her leg.
Fashion guru Cora Delaney has had her home town inked beneath a palm tree on her calf to remind her of her childhood days.
The 23-year-old – who styles popstar Lily Allen – is now living the party life, working with top brands like Asos and Red Bull and working at fashion events in New York, Paris and Milan.
But she always makes time to return to Herne Bay to see her father.
Explaining the story behind the tattoo, she said: “I saw a guy called Trap House Tattooer on Instagram and really liked his work.
"He had only just started so was charging £30 for any tattoo, which is so cheap, so we got him to come with his kit to my friend’s kitchen in Peckham to give us all tattoos one night.
"I looked through his sketches and saw my one with the palm trees and knew I had to get the writing changed to Herne Bay.
"I can't remember what it was supposed to say. I'm very proud of it, though."
Cora moved to Herne Bay when she was nine and attended both Barton Court and Langton Girls' in Canterbury, before studying at the city's University for the Creative Arts.
"I miss it so much," she said.
"I miss my dad mostly but also love meeting back up with my school friends and going out in Canterbury. I want to move back when I'm older.
"I want my kids to grow up like I did – it was so fun."
