Herne Bay e-bike stolen as teen asked for test-ride and never returned

Police are investigating after a teenager asked to test-ride an e-bike - and never returned.

He had arranged to meet the seller and buy the ‘Cube Reaction Hybrid’ model at a property in the Broomfield Road area of Herne Bay.

The suspect arrived at about 8.30pm on Monday and asked the owner if he could have a go on the bike.

He then rode off without paying and did not come back.

The suspect is described as white, around 17 or 18 years old, approximately five feet, 10 inches tall, with short, dark hair, a black coat, black jeans and black trainers.

An investigation is ongoing and officers have released an image of the stolen bike as part of an appeal for information.
