Calvin Saward to appear in court over Herne Bay seafront stand-off

A teenager will appear in court later this month after Herne Bay seafront was closed off for almost four hours during a tense stand-off.
Calvin Saward, of High Street, Herne Bay has been charged with obstructing a constable in relation to the incident, which lasted for much of the afternoon on January 2.
The 19-year-old has been bailed and will appear in court later this month.
A 17-year-old girl was also arrested at the time on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.
She has been released without charge.
