Teen locked up after club rave attack at former Herne Bay golf club site

A teenager was stabbed in the leg during a late-night rave on the former Herne Bay golf club site.
The victim was left with a knife wound to his calf and swelling to his face after he was attacked by two other teenagers in June last year.
He and friends had gone to the bash and decided to stay the night and get a train home the following morning.
But violence erupted when six others arrived asking for “Nico”.
Among them was a 16-year-old boy armed with a knife, who smashed a bottle over the head of one party-goer.
The young thug then put the knife to the face of another victim, before punching him and stabbing him in the right calf.
He then struck another teenager in the back of the head, knocking him down and kicking him on the ground before stealing his £500 mobile phone.
Adam Tapp, then 17, also punched the stabbing victim.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, admitted wounding with intent, robbery, actual bodily harm and assault by beating.
“It is clear you display some immature behaviour, although you show some insight into your offending" - Judge Richard Polden
He was sentenced to five years and two months youth custody - three years and two months for the Herne Bay offences and two more years for a robbery in Sittingbourne.
Tapp, now 18, of north west London, admitted robbery, assault causing actual bodily harm and assault by beating. He was sentenced to 18 months youth custody.
Tapp’s solicitor, Craig Evans, said he was attacked at Herne Bay railway station the morning after the brawl and almost knocked unconscious.
Judge Richard Polden told Tapp: “It is clear you display some immature behaviour, although you show some insight into your offending. You were drunk at the time.”
