A teenage boy has been stabbed for his iPhone in a shocking street robbery.
Police are investigating after the youngster was attacked in Herne Bay last night.
The victim and his friend had been walking in the Avenue Road area of the town at about 10.30pm when he got into an altercation with a person.
The boy suffered a single stab wound and had his green iPhone 13 stolen.
Following the incident, the victim and his friend – also a teenage boy – flagged down a driver who then took them to hospital.
Detectives have since recovered the stolen phone, and are understood to be keen to speak to the driver as part of the ongoing investigation.
Detective Inspector Daniel Aylett said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and exact location of the robbery.
"We understand that the victim and his friend flagged down a car and were given a lift to the hospital by a man.
"We are keen to locate and speak to this good Samaritan as he could have information as a potential witness that could assist our investigation."
