Teenage girl 'followed by man' near Memorial Park and Aldi in Herne Bay

A teenage girl was left "distressed" after she was reportedly followed by a man near a popular park.
Police are investigating the incident in Herne Bay where a teenager ran to a nearby supermarket for help after becoming concerned.
A post was shared widely on Facebook by a friend of the girl's mother following the incident near Memorial Park.
They told KentOnline the teenager was left "distressed" by the encounter, which happened shortly before 8pm last Wednesday.
A police spokesman confirmed the force was called to King's Road, Herne Bay at 7.55pm on Wednesday after a teenage girl reported she had been followed by a man.
They said he was initially in a car but then reportedly followed her on foot.
"The man did not speak to the girl or make any physical contact and enquiries into the incident are ongoing," the spokesman added.
