Three people were taken to hospital after a crash on the Canterbury to Herne Bay road on Monday morning.

It happened in Canterbury Road, Herne Common, close to the junction with Bullockstone Road, at 7.45am.

A man in his 40s in a Ford Mondeo had to be freed from the car and was taken to the QEQM hospital in Margate.

The other cars involved were a Mercedes taxi and a Vauxhall Astra.

A man driving the taxi and a woman were taken to hospital for checks while the driver of the Vauxhall was unhurt.

Police closed the road until 10am.
