Transport chiefs have launched a crackdown on untaxed vehicles in the Canterbury district.
The DVLA’s wheelclamping contractors clamped 13 vehicles in Herne Bay at the weekend, with six locked in Whitstable.
Among those clamped in Herne Bay included cars in the High Street, Canterbury Road and outside Morrisons in Beach Street.
No vehicles were clamped in Canterbury.
DVLA spokesman David Whitbread said: "As part of their day to day operations, DVLA’s national wheelclamping partner, NSL, clamp or impound any untaxed vehicles seen on the road.
"I can confirm that six vehicles have been clamped in Whitstable and 13 vehicles have been clamped in Herne Bay – no vehicles were clamped in Canterbury."
