Herne crash victim helped by off-duty medics after three-car collision in Busheyfields Road

An elderly woman left trapped in a car after a crash was helped by off-duty medics.
The emergency services were called to Busheyfields Road, Herne just after 11am today following a three-car collision.
Firefighters had to free the elderly woman who was trapped in one of the vehicles. They were assisted by an off-duty nurse and doctor before an ambulance arrived.
Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the woman, whose exact age is not known.
She was placed on a long board and taken to hospital by ambulance.
