Canterbury City Council warns walkers after cliff falls at Reculve near Herne Bay

Country park visitors are being warned to be careful after a number of cliff falls due to the recent weather conditions.

Canterbury City Council says there has multiple cliff falls between Bishopstone Glen and Reculver near Herne Bay today caused by recent wet weather.

It advised people visiting the country park to keep away from the cliff edge.

The council added: "If an area is fenced or taped off, please avoid it."

Pictures show rubble sliding down the face off the cliff on the seafront at Reculver.
