Woman, 72, accused after death crash

A WOMAN, aged 72, has been charged with careless driving following an accident in which a man died.
Miriam Phillips, of Canterbury Road, Herne Bay, was said to be driving a Toyota which was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra on the A28 at Chartham last November.
Paul Wickenden, of Seymour Place, Wincheap, a passenger in the Astra, died from multiple injuries. Canterbury magistrates have adjourned the hearing until August 16.
