Herne Bay: Woman attacked in Wrentham Avenue after answering her door to man in high-visibility jacket

A woman in her 30s was attacked after answering her door to a man wearing a high-visibility jacket in Herne Bay.
Police are investigating after the victim suffered a head injury following the incident in Wrentham Avenue, Greenhill.
Reports on social media suggest she was struck with a crow bar.
It happened just before 8.30pm on Tuesday and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, about 6ft tall with a medium build.
He was wearing dark jeans, a dark jumper, a beanie hat and a high-visibility jacket.
Detetive inspector Tracy Anstis said: "Incidents of this nature are rare and we are continuing to make inquiries to establish the circumstances behind the assault."
