A woman has died after she collapsed and hit her head on the pavement in Herne Bay.
Paramedics were called to Mortimer Street where witnesses saw the woman, believed to be in her 60s, being treated with a defibrillator.
They battled to save the woman for three hours from about 11am yesterday, but she was declared dead at the scene.
Ambulance spokesman Brian Cumming said crews tried to bring the woman back to life.
He said: "We were called to attend a woman who had struck her head after a fall in the street outside The Pantry.
"Paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but she was declared dead at the scene."
