Woman driver seriously hurt in head-on crash

A WOMAN is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after the car she was driving was involved in a collision with another car in a Kent town.
The crash happened at around 11.20am in Western Avenue, Herne Bay.
The woman, a 41-year-old from Whitstable, was driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra towards Kings Road when it collided with a Citroen travelling in the opposite direction.
She was taken to Margate's QEQM Hospital. No-one else was injured.
