Herne Bay woman punched in the throat in vicious kebab shop assault

A woman from Herne Bay was viciously kicked and punched in the throat in a kebab shop after a she returned a rucksack thrown onto the street.
The 24-year-old was assaulted inside Bay Kebabs in the High Street when she retrieved a small bag from the street to give to a woman leaving the takeaway.
But as she did so a man launched a vicious attack by punching her in the throat as well as kicking and verbal abuse.
An unknown person came to the woman's aid by ushering the man away.
A 24-year-old man from Herne Bay has been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further investigation until Sunday, June 8.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Sunday, April 27 at about 3am.
