Woman struck by van in Herne Bay hit-and-run

Police are investigating after a woman was knocked down by a van in a hit-and-run.
The pedestrian was struck in Greenhill Road, Herne Bay, at about 7.20pm yesterday (Sunday).
Police and an ambulance crew attended the scene at the road's junction with Poplar Drive, near Greenhill roundabout.
The ambulance service has confirmed the victim did not require hospital treatment.
The van driver left the scene but later made contact with police, who are investigating the incident.
Taking to Facebook this morning, the woman involved in the incident has thanked passers-by who stopped to help her after she was hit.
She wrote: "You are proof there are still amazing people in this world, so thank you."
