Woman trapped after two car crash in Bournemouth Drive, Herne Bay

A woman was trapped in her car after it ended up on its side following a collision between two vehicles in Herne Bay.

Firefighters had to cut the roof off her Kia Picanto to get her out and she was attended to by paramedics at the scene.

The crash happened in Bournemouth Drive at its junction with The Broadway just after 6pm.

A fire service spokesman said no one else was injured and the road was blocked for a short time in both directions.

Crews remained at the scene for around 40 minutes cleaning up fluids leaking from both cars and making the scene safe.
