A woman has been treated for shock and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a bedroom.
Fire crews were called to a house in Selsea Avenue, Herne Bay, just after 9am this morning.
A high-pressure hose reel jet was used to put out the blaze, the cause of which is not known.
Despite a "female occupant" being treated for shock and the effects of breathing in smoke she did not need to go to hospital, a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman revealed.
They added: "After tackling the blaze, firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes from the property."
Crews had left the scene by 10.21am.
