Herne Bay add striker Luis Medina to their squad

Herne Bay have signed striker Luis Medina to boost their attacking options.
Medina was on trial at Folkestone Invicta earlier this season but has joined the Bostik South East side.
He will be looking to help Bay to their first league win of the season when they travel to Horsham on Saturday.
Joint-manager John Embery said: “His goalscoring stats are excellent and we are very pleased to have him on board.
“He scored in the first eight minutes of his first match for us against Hythe on Tuesday.
“We have been unlucky so far this season. It has been an indifferent start as we should have beaten Hythe and Faversham in the league.
“We should have beaten Greenwich Borough as well. If we go into the Horsham game with the right mentality I expect us to pick up three points. It is about having that right mental approach no matter who you are playing.”
Bay were knocked out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat to Leatherhead but Embery feels his side could have come away with a result from the match.
He said: “Their first goal was a handball. They put us under pressure for the first 10 minutes then as we were searching for the equaliser they got lucky and scored.
“We came away from there disappointed as we should have won the game. They were not a good side but they had the luck with them.
“We could not complain with how we played. We seemed to do well until the final third. If we had got that first goal then I think we would have gone on to win the game.
“We don’t fear teams in higher leagues.”
Bay also went through to the next round of the Kent Senior Cup after a victory over Hythe.
Embery added: “If we had performed like we did against Hythe on Tuesday we would have won in the FA Cup.
“We had a good mentality going into that game. Our goalkeeper saved a penalty but we played very well.
“We try to instill that work ethic in the side and the players respond to that. Our players are good footballers but maybe not so good at the dirty side of things.
“We scored good goals against Hythe and worked hard to get the win.”
