Vets' team earn their Spurs

FOOTBALL supporters are expected to turn out in large numbers see former Tottenham Hotspur stars playing at Herne Bay Football Club on Sunday.
The Spurs veterans team are hoping to include former England centre forward Martin Chivers, who scored crucial goals in the 1971 League Cup and 1972 UEFA Cup finals and Ralph Coates, who netted the winning goal in the 1973 League Cup final.
Others likely to be included are Tony Galvin, a member of the 1981 FA Cup winning team, and Jimmy Neighbour, John Pratt, Mark Falco and Phil Beal.
They will be playing a Herne Bay veterans' side to mark the 50th anniversary of football at the Winch's Field ground.
The Bay side will include former manager Nick Denly, and other former favourites like Andy Ballantyne, Neil Brown, Gerry Allan, Bobby Mason, Paul Lawrence.
Kick-off is at 4pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children and pensioners, with a family ticket for two adults and two children at £13. There will also be a barbecue at the game.
