Body found in search for missing Hythe man

A body has been found in the search for a missing 64-year-old.
Officers looking for Jonathon Poole, who was reported missing on June 5, were called to a report that a man's body had been found on farmland near Hythe yesterday.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of Mr Poole, who was from the town, has been informed.
A police spokesman added: “Shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024, Kent Police was called to a report that a man's body had been found on farmland near Hythe.
“Officers attended and a man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
