In a video shared with her 8.5 million followers on Instagram, she can be seen marking the occasion by getting up close and personal with some of the park’s exotic creatures.

Her post reads: “Thank you to my family for the best birthday weekend.

“Lions and lie-ins pretty much sums it up.”

Willoughby announced she was stepping down from presenting This Morning after 14 years back in October.

Her decision came after details of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder the TV presenter emerged.

Gavin Plumb subsequently pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder and incitement to commit kidnap. He is due to stand trial later this year.

Port Lympne Safari Park has become something of a magnet for celebrities in recent times, with several high-profile visitors sharing their experiences at the attraction.

Amanda Holden visited in October, while Westlife star Mark Feehily was at the park back in December.

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve says it offers “an unforgettable safari experience set against hundreds of acres of stunning Kentish savannah”.
