A Jurassic park is coming to Kent.
More than 100 dinosaurs will take up residence at Port Lympne Reserve in the spring, the reserve announced this week.
It will be the largest collection of life size dinosaurs in Europe and visitors will be invited to step into a lost Jurassic world.
The zoo near Hythe is celebrating its 40th birthday this year and plans are under way to welcome the epic arrivals which are said to change the face of the reserve “for the foreseeable future”.
The new attraction will include T-Rex, diplodocus and pterodactyl.
They will be hatching later in the spring and a dedicated team of rangers will be on hand to guide guests around their home and tell the story of the animal kingdom from millions of years ago.
Visitors will also just be able to wander around the models.
Port Lympne’s managing director, Bob O’Connor, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to announce the arrival of dinosaurs at Port Lympne Reserve.
"Not only will this be the largest collection of life size dinosaurs in Europe, each model will also be totally authentic and anatomically correct.
"I think this is going to be an epic experience, not only will visitors and students be able to learn and understand more about these impressive creatures but they will also be able to become amateur palaeontologists themselves, as they dig for fossils and even create their own dinosaurs to take home."
