A road was closed for two hours as concerns were raised about a man on a roof.
Police and fire crews were called to Mount Street in Hythe just before 6pm yesterday after receiving calls about the man’s welfare.
Four fire engines and a height vehicle attended, as well as the technical rescue unit.
A stretch of Prospect Road, near the town’s former Aldi supermarket, was closed while officers brought the man to safety and passed him into the care of medical crews.
The road reopened shortly after 8pm and fire crews left just before 8.45pm.
