Woman sexually assaulted on canal path near Seabrook Road, Hythe, between Cannongate Road and Hospital Hill

A woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted this morning as she walked along a canal path in Hythe.
She was on the footpath that runs parallel to Seabrook Road, between Cannongate Road and Hospital Hill, at 7.30am when a man forced her off the path and into a secluded area.
He then sexually assaulted her.
The attacker then fled back towards the footpath, police said.
The offender is described as a white man who was wearing a dark coloured hooded top, a dark coloured scarf over his face, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
Officers investigating the assault are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have seen a man matching the description of the offender.
