Two people in hospital after crash near Romney Road in Lydd

A man and a woman were freed from wreckage after a crash involving a van and a car. The injured man was the driver of the van and the woman a passenger in the Peugeot car.Police and paramedics also attended and the two victims were taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.The road was re-opened at 8.30pm.
It happened at Romney Road, Lydd, at 7pm yesterday.
About 10 firefighters, from the Lydd and Hythe stations, were called out and were at the scene for over an hour.
