Stevenage continuing to look at Hythe Town's prolific striker Alfie May

Hythe striker Alfie May could be on his way to the Football League.
May made a big impact on trial with Stevenage on Monday and the League 2 club will have another look on Thursday.
Two more Football League clubs, as well as a National League side, are waiting in the wings.
But Stevenage are in pole position to land the 23-year-old, who had scored 14 goals
before the Cannons’ Ryman League, Division 1 South game against South Park on Tuesday.
Hythe boss Clive Cook said: “Alfie did well on Monday. I spoke to the manager and the director of football at Stevenage and they both said the same thing.
“It doesn’t surprise me because Alfie’s a good lad who has his head in gear.
“I spoke to Alfie after I’d spoken to Stevenage, so I already knew what they thought.
“He felt he’d done well and said he ran the centre-half ragged. He was an experienced player – the manager was having a right go at him!
“I’m excited for Alfie – I hope he goes to the next level. He’s great to manage, he eats, drinks and breathes football and wants to be a full-time player. I’m sure I’ll get a vibe what Stevenage are thinking after Thursday.
“He just needs to focus, be normal and not change anything. He ticks all the boxes.”
Hythe host league rivals Walton Casuals in the FA Trophy first qualifying round on Saturday (3pm).
Casuals have already beaten the Cannons in the FA Cup this season. Cook said: “They’re a good side. We owe them one after the FA Cup. We imploded.
“Anthony Gale is a good manager, a good tactician but if we do what we’re good at, we’re a match for any side at this level.”
