Hythe Town are gearing up for three home games in less than a week which could help cement them in the play-offs.

Promotion rivals Hastings visit Reachfields on Thursday and Hythe then host Three Bridges on Saturday.

Tuesday night sees the Cannons entertain Walton Casuals, when admission has been reduced to £1, and manager Clive Cook can’t wait for the triple-header.

He said: "We’ve got three big games in six days so it’s going to test the squad. I’m looking forward to it.

"The boys are flying, their attitude is up to where it should be and we’ve got no injury problems, so there’s no excuses.

"It is a big test physically but I’ve got a good squad so I’m happy to rotate. I don’t like resting people if we’re winning but sometimes you have to take certain players out of the limelight and the pressure.

"They’re working during the day and three games in six days is massive so you have to utilise your squad."

Hythe climbed to fifth in Ryman League, Division 1 South with a 2-1 win at Whyteleafe last Saturday.

Cook said: "If we could get something from these three games, we’d see a little bit of light – I hope.

"Everyone around us is playing each other at the weekend, which is a good thing.

"Worthing have Folkestone and Herne Bay are at home to Ramsgate. It’s going to go to the wire and there’s going to be more twists and turns.

"If you hold your bottle, you’ll get into the play-offs."
