Hythe want to avoid a final-day showdown at Faversham by booking their play-off spot early.
Two wins over the Easter weekend lifted the Cannons to third in Ryman League Division 1 South, two points above Ray Turner’s side.
The Kent rivals clash at Salters Lane on April 23 for what could be a winner-takes-all derby.
But Cook said: "No-one wants it to go down to the last game. I want it done and dusted by then.
"We don’t want to be messing around, looking for a point or this and that. We just want to have the last game all done before we go into it.
"If it’s not, we’ll deal with it but we’d like to have that out of the way."
Hythe have four games left and the next three are all against teams who have struggled this season.
They welcome Chatham to Reachfields on Saturday before travelling to Sittingbourne next weekend. Then comes a home game against Chipstead on April 16.
Cook said: "They’re probably games anyone would want but two of them are derbies and we know what happens in derbies.
"Chatham will be a difficult game, Chipstead have got a new side and then, of course, you’ve got Sittingbourne, who play their pitch well. It’s all about ticking the boxes, getting that game out of the way and moving onto the next one.
"Everyone’s still got to play each other in some of the games, so they’ll mess up each other. We’ll just look after ourselves."
