Hythe Town manager Scott Porter keen to get his transfer business done early
08:00, 16 April 2014
Scott Porter will sit down with the Hythe board this week to discuss his playing budget for next season.
The Town manager wants to get his transfer business done before taking the squad away to Ibiza in May for their annual end-of-season party.
Although there are three games of the Ryman League season left, Porter’s already keen to get things sorted for 2014/15.
He said: "As soon as the season finishes, it’s like a rat race. Everyone’s chasing players. I’ll be sitting down with the board to see where we are for next year, and then I’ll sit down with the players.
"I’ve definitely got the spine of the side and I’ve identified two or three I’d like to bring in.
"You want to enjoy your summer as much as you can. We’ve got a holiday in Ibiza from May 10 and I want to get to get all my dealings done before we go away."
Hythe entertain Chipstead on Saturday before visiting Crawley Down on Easter Monday.
