Hythe’s players have until next weekend to decide whether they want to stay at the club next season or move on.

Manager Tim Dixon has held preliminary talks with each member of his squad having just completed his first season in charge of the Cannons.

Those conversations will resume on May 9, with Dixon keen to know which personnel he’ll be working with in 2015/16.

"It took too long to get my squad finalised last year," said Dixon, who succeeded Scott Porter as Hythe manager in May 2014. "That was down to me – and circumstances.

"Towards the end of this season you could see there is potential here, with a couple of additions in the summer.

"I’ve had a chat with all the players individually about next season. I want the majority of them to stay.

"We’ve got our presentation night a week on Saturday and I’ve told the players I need to know what’s going on by then so I can plan ahead."
