Hythe Town have re-signed attacking midfielder Ryan Johnson.
Johnson left the Cannons in January to join Greenwich Borough, who went on to win the Southern Counties East League.
But instead of lining up against Hythe in Ryman League Division 1 South this season, Johnson will again wear the red shirt after agreeing a new deal with manager Clive Cook.
Cook confirmed: "Ryan Johnson is back. I signed him yesterday (Tuesday).
"He phoned me last Friday and said he was thinking about moving on from Greenwich. He spoke very highly of Greenwich but he wanted to come back to his roots so I brought him back yesterday.
"He was brilliant for us in the 16 games he played. I was gutted when we lost him and I’m very pleased to bring him back to the football club.
"He’s a very good footballer and a smashing lad. He wants to play and that’s a big thing for me. He wants to play football, he just puts the ball down and plays."
Johnson is the sixth summer signing for Hythe, who lost in the play-off semi-finals last season.
Cook welcomes his players back for the start of pre-season on Thursday night.
