Hythe Town have signed experienced striker Jay May from Maidstone United.
The 30-year-old, United’s top scorer for the past two seasons, was made available by the Vanarama National League club earlier this month and has chosen Hythe despite having several other options.
He will go straight into Hythe's squad for their home FA Trophy tie against Walton Casuals on Saturday and boss Clive Cook said: “This is a huge signing for the club and gives us the opportunity to build further on our excellent start to the season.”
May started the present campaign on loan at Hastings after a calf injury but has barely featured with the Stones since returning in September.
His previous clubs include Billericay Town, Bromley, Dartford and Ramsgate.
