Organisers of a major new agricultural event in the county have hailed the inaugural show a success after more then 2,500 visitors attended.
Farm Expo was organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society and took place at the Kent Showground.
Visitors got the opportunity to see the latest farm machinery from national and international manufacturers and service providers that exhibited at the event.
Keynote speakers Nick von Westenholz, Clive Bailye and Stephen Carr also gave seminars focusing on the future of agriculture, Brexit, and the Agriculture Bill currently moving through parliament.
James Forknall, Chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society, said: “Farm Expo was very well received by all who attended. We were really pleased that the first event attracted so many people; it goes to show there is a great demand for a dedicated farm machinery event in Kent.
“We’re already planning next year’s event on 4th March 2020, which will be even bigger and better.”
The event replaced Agri-Expo which took place at the Detling site last year but moved out citing a sharp increase in costs to host the event at the venue.
