Cabot Aviation, based in Tunbridge Wells, have joined with leading aircraft specialist Air Partner
08:50, 14 May 2015
A leading global aviation charter specialist has acquired a broker in aircraft remaking in a deal which cost the firm up to £1.2 million.
The services of Cabot Aviation, based in Tunbridge Wells, have been snapped up by Air Partner - who offer commercial, private, and freight flights.
Cabot works as an executive agent for major airlines, specialising in refurbishing aircrafts which are no longer in use, or on the way out.
Since being founded in 1998, the company has fast become one of the leading remarketing brokers in the aviation industry, a status which will only be bolstered by Cabot spreading their wings and partnering up with the internationally renowned charter company.
Air Partner currently remarket their planes on a short-term wet lease basis, where they lend an airliner, complete crew and staff to an established airliner, and the acquisition of Cabot will allow them to expand their client base, and look into the possibility of dry leasing. Along with this, the broker will lend their expertise in aircraft sales.
Tony Whitty, CEO of Cabot Aviation, said: "Joining the Air Partner group will enable us to enhance the services we offer our existing clients, while providing their client base with deeper remarketing capabilities and additional aviation services.
"We very much look forward to continuing to partner with and support our existing and new clients."
