Bluewater will host its annual Jobs Fair later this month – and it’s gearing up for its biggest year yet.
More than twice the number of vacancies will be on offer at the event compared to 2013, with up to 1,500 permanent and temporary jobs available.
The fair, which is organised by Bluewater’s on-site recruitment facility the Learning Shop, will take place on Friday, September 26 and more than 60 of the shopping centre’s retailers and restaurants will be present.
To ensure as many candidates as possible can meet with employers, the event will be open for longer than before – from midday until 6pm in Glow’s lower hall – with a total of 3,000 interview opportunities available.
It will be opened by Gareth Johnson, MP for Dartford, and Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s general manager, at noon.
Mr Johnson said: “I am a very strong supporter of the Learning Shop and Bluewater, both of whom make a significant difference to the quality of life for thousands of people in Dartford and the wider community every year.
“To see the Jobs Fair become such a success, with significant growth in the number of vacancies offered year-on-year, is tremendous and something all of the Learning Shop’s partners, and the participating retailers and restaurants, should be very proud of.”
Prospective candidates can register their interest via the Learning Shop’s website, at www.learningshopbluewater.co.uk, or via their work coach at the JobCentre Plus offices in Dartford, Gravesend and Chatham.
