A business park in Maidstone says it is bucking the trend after signing a host of new deals with tenants.
Turkey Mill offers more than 100,000sq ft of office space and says despite the lockdown and now Tier 3 restrictions, demand has remained high.
And it says demand has been driven by the new way in which we are working as a result of the pandemic.
With 70 tenants across various sectors, it says it's seen "multiple lettings and renewals" over recent months - including the addition of new tenant Optical Express.
Dougie Lawson, director at Turkey Mill, said: “Our phone has been busy with enquiries from small businesses wanting to grow in flexible office space through to larger corporates wanting to operate a satellite office outside of London to accommodate their employees who can no longer commute daily into central London.
"We negotiated several new lettings during lockdown and have more on the table. It’s a huge sign of confidence in what we have here in Maidstone, particularly given the glum macro situation.
"In our new-Covid world, people’s work life priorities are changing and we are excited to welcome new occupiers to Turkey Mill who have a focus, like us, on health and wellbeing in the workplace.”
Another new tenant on the park is solicitors Argo Life while deals have been renewed with Marshall Surfacing Contracts and Clear MPW.
