Chart Hills Golf Club, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, put up for sale

A golf course which was designed by Sir Nick Faldo has been put on the market for £2.75 million.
Chart Hills Golf Club in Biddenden, near Tenterden, is being sold by Savills on behalf of its private owners.
The 18-hole championship course covers 198 acres north of the village and features a driving range, putting green, 27,889 sq ft club house, greenkeeper’s building, 743 sq ft of office space and a 150-space car park.
The club, which charges £2,268 for an annual membership, has been a European Tour Qualifying school and also hosted the Ladies European Tour and the Ladies English Open Championship.
It is scheduled to host the prestigious Brabazon Trophy in May next year, taking place at the London Golf Club near Brands Hatch this week.
Savills director of leisure and trading Ian Simpson said: “Chart Hills is a prime golf club in a fantastic location in Kent, which benefits from a range income producing facilities.
“Golf continues to be a popular British sport and with the excellent credentials of this course we expect to receive strong interest.”
