Estate agent 2-move, which has offices in Gravesend and Strood, has announced it is to join the Safe Move Scheme - a new kitemark project designed to make buying a property quicker and easier.
Launched this month, the scheme ensures that by preparing the legal work on a property at an early stage, it can be signed off by Safe Move Lawyers and approved by Safe Move Mortgage Lenders before a buyer makes an offer.
Tony Szabo, consultant partner of 2-move, said: "The Safe Move Scheme has been developed through collaboration with leading organisations in the property market to ensure it delivers real benefits to people buying and selling homes.
"It uses the latest integrated software technology to provide fast and efficient access to the property information needed to move quickly.
"We have seen initiatives before that have attempted to improve the home buying and selling process.
"What makes the Safe Move Scheme completely different is that it engages leading organisations within each stakeholder group in the property market who all benefit from time savings, extra efficiencies and reduced costs.
"These benefits translate into quicker more certain sales for home sellers and easier purchases with better mortgage service for buyers. I am looking forward to seeing the positive impact that the Safe Move Scheme will have on the market and in particular seeing 2-move customers benefiting from safer, quicker transactions and cost savings."
