The parent company of Eurotunnel has appointed a new senior director.
Bertrand Gérard has been named Getlink's human resources director and chairman of the group's private railway training organisation, Ciffco.
He takes over the role today, Monday, April 1.
Mr Gérard, 52, has previously been HR director of the Sanef motorway concessionaire and more recently at French construction company Spie Batignolles.
He will report directly to group deputy chief executive officer, François Gauthey, and will use his experience in the service of the group to support the operational teams by contributing, in particular, to digital culture and skills development policy.
He replaces Xavier Moulins who left the group last week.
Last month Eurotunnel announced a new deal to revitalise many of its existing trains operating between Folkestone and Coquelle.
