Fans in more than 150 countries play football quiz developed by Reflect Digital in Maidstone

Football fans in more than 150 countries have been tearing their hair out over an online quiz developed by a company in Kent.
The Find 50 Clubs game has been played by more than 47,000 people worldwide and was described as “brilliant and infuriating” by the assistant editor of SportBible.
The quiz was launched by Maidstone-based marketing agency Reflect Digital ahead of the new Premier League season.
Only 3% of players have managed to complete the game, where users view a landscape image and guess the clues to reveal 50 football club names.
“The response has been nothing short of phenomenal,” said senior digital marketing executive Mike Alexander.
“We have been up in the early hours of the morning responding to players on our Twitter and Facebook page as we set up social profiles to give hints and feedback to all who need it.
“They refused to go to bed until they had completed it.”
“Exciting, infuriating and highly entertaining – just like ‘the beautiful game’ itself...” - Jon Ford, Aford Awards
Launched on August 7, the quiz page had been visited by 29,000 people within a week and featured on Reddit, Buzzfeed and Bored Panda.
It had reached 88,000 people on Facebook and made 171,000 Twitter impressions.
Jon Ford, managing director of Maidstone-based Aford Awards, said it was “exciting, infuriating and highly entertaining – just like ‘the beautiful game’ itself.”
Mark Holmes, editor at planetfootball.com, said: “The rest of my day is now going to be a whole lot less productive.”
Mr Alexander added: “We created the quiz with the aim of showing that we could produce an engaging, fun and shareable piece of content from scratch, launch it on a national scale and successfully build a large, engaged audience.
“The second part of the project was to demonstrate that whilst this content is fun and engaging, it has serious commercial appeal.”
Players who complete the game by Thursday, September 7, will be entered into a draw to win £100 of JD Sports vouchers.
