A logistics company has finally been presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise it won more than a year ago.
Priority Freight in Dover was announced as one of the winners of the prestigious accolade last year for its business performance.
But the planned awards reception at Buckingham Palace was unable to take place due to the pandemic.
But this week the Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain, finally presented the award to Neal Williams, the firm's group managing director, at a special ceremony held at the company’s Dover head office.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, was awarded to the firm for its growth in international sales.
Neal Williams said: “Winning this award is welcome recognition of our hard-working team members and their ongoing commitment to our customers. Our clients know they can trust us to deliver even when the options are limited or time-critical.
“This has been particularly apparent during the Covid crisis where we have been supporting governments and companies to bring PPE in from around the world.”
