Hands On car wash scoops up award
15:34, 13 December 2011
Manual car wash "heroes" have cleaned up with a green accolade.
Hands On, based in Ebbsfleet, was presented with the Green Mark Level 2 award by Adam Holloway, MP for Gravesham, in the Houses of Parliament.
The eco-friendly company - which promotes itself as "car wash heroes" - has outlets in more than 150 supermarkets, shopping centres and forecourts across the UK.
Mr Holloway said: "Your company stands proud among giants with an understanding of the importance of environment to business and economic prosperity."
Commercial director Bob Dine added: "It's taken five years of reviewing and refining every single process, material and procedure to get to this stage, but we're confident now that we offer customers a far greener way to clean their cars without having to compromise on quality."
