A leading holiday park operator has confirmed it is to invest £1.4 million in its parks across Kent and Sussex in time for this summer.
Parkdean Resorts operates sites in Romney Sands, St Margaret's Bay, near Dover, and just across the border at Camber Sands.
All three will see £690,000 spent on bringing a further 32 caravans to the resorts.
Additionally St. Margaret’s Bay will see £175,000 ploughed into improvements, including a restaurant refurbishment, renovated reception area and a swimming pool and spa refurbishment with, for the first time, a steam room.
The move will also see 19 jobs created across the three parks in sales, catering, administration, leisure and operational departments.
The work comes as part of a wider investment of £40.7m across the company this year.
Chief executive John Waterworth said: “We have lots of people that come along in twos on holiday so we will be introducing one-bedroom caravans for the first time with young couples, empty nesters and retired people in mind.
"Work is already under way to bring in these changes to accommodation, retail, entertainment and many other elements that make up the Parkdean Resorts experience, which we continue to build upon while listening to customer feedback and reacting to market demand."
