Mini-Habitat Maidstone opens in the Homebase store, Aylesford
16:30, 08 June 2015
A homeware retailer has opened a mini store, creating four new jobs in the local area.
Habitat will open its 49th mini-store following the introduction of the partnership with home improvement giants, Homebase.
The brand began rolling out smaller units in bigger Homebase stores back in 2012 – following the Home Retail Group’s acquisition of Habitat.
Located in the Aylesford Retail Park, the 2,000 sq ft unit will sell a collection from Habitat’s range, including furniture, upholstery, homewares and lighting from their latest collection.
Along with the range available in-store, customers can use devices to pre-order items and collect them from the Aylesford site.
Habitat Maidstone store manager, Trish Cowen, said: "The reaction from local customers has been fantastic.
"People are now able to interact with our products more conveniently in-store with customers rediscovering us in our new location and being really excited about the collection. I hope everyone will enjoy having us back in the local area.”
The mini-Habitat Maidstone store will share the same opening hours as Homebase, open Monday-Saturday between 9-8 and 10-4 on Sundays.
