Buckmore Park Karting wins gold for Tourism Experience of the Year in 2018 Beautiful South Tourism Awards

A hugely popular karting track has come first in a major regional tourism awards.
Buckmore Park Karting picked up gold in the Tourism Experience of the Year category of the 2018 Beautiful South Tourism Awards.
Held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, the event celebrated the region's tourism industry with some 74 attractions picking up gold, silver or bronze trophies.
Leonora Surtees, managing director of Buckmore Park Karting, accepted the award on the night, along with fellow director Richard Martell.
She said: “I am extremely proud of our team over the last year and the hard work we have all put in to constantly elevate the experience we offer our customers.
"This award recognises how much progress we have made and we will continue to strive to reach the highest standards.”
Bought in 2015 by F1 and seven-time motorcycle world champion John Surtees, the track continues to be owned and operated by the Surtees family.
