Barclays Eagle Lab to touch down at Sandwich's Discovery Park

A new Eagle Lab is flying into Sandwich's Discovery Park to help further strengthen collaboration between the life sciences and technology sectors.
Backed by Barclays, it is one of 30 labs around the UK designed to creates spaces to help entrepreneurs and businesses work together to grow.
The Barclays Eagle Labs network is now one of the UK's largest co-working and incubator communities for start-up and scale-up firms.
Jane Kennedy, chief business officer at Discovery Park, said: “We have real aspirations of creating a tech cluster at Discovery Park and this partnership with Barclays will help us achieve this."
Entrepreneurs using the space will be supported by a dedicated 'ecosystem manager' who will provide the technical expertise, mentoring and connections required to integrate companies into Barclays’ UK-wide network.
Jon Hope, director of Barclays Eagle Labs, said: “We’ll bring our Eagle Labs philosophy to Sandwich helping to provide start-ups and scale-ups a home and fostering the connections to help them grow, as well as the new facility furthering our support for the region’s entrepreneurs.”
